Drink Spiking

When you’re out having a good time with your friends, you can forget the dangers that you are exposed to. Drink spiking is on the increase in pubs and clubs across the country. Here are some tips to help you stay safe when enjoying the London nightlife;
Watch Your Drink

  • Never share or swap drinks with anyone
  • Never leave your drinks unattended
  • Don’t accept drinks from people you don’t know
  • Try to keep hold of your drink at all times
  • If you are drinking out of a bottle keep your thumb over the top when you’re not drinking

Always Remember

  • It’s not just alcohol that can be spiked, soft drinks can also be a target
  • Women are most at risk than men
  • Men can also be victims of drug rape
  • If you think your drink tastes or looks funny then do not drink it
  • If you feel unusually drunk or odd after only a few drinks, tell somebody and go to a place of safety
  • If you notice anything suspicious tell the door/bar staff and your friends
