1. Iyaz – Solo

Iyaz returns to the charts after his impressive debut single; Replay landed at the no.1 position on both the U.S and U.K charts. The singer-songwriter is certainly making his mark on the music industry after being discovered by singer Sean Kingston on MySpace back in 2008.
His latest single uses a very popular melody causing listeners to think, “where have I heard this before” the answer is Janet Jackson as ‘Solo’ samples her hit ballad ‘Again’ from the 1993.
Iyaz certainly adds his own unique twist by turning the original ballad into an up-tempo party jam causing the ladies in the London clubs to sing-along to his tale of loneliness. Iyaz sings his own lyrics along to the piano melody of Janet’s song and bringing the sunshine of the Caribbean to his music, constantly staying true to his Virgin Island roots and influences.
Produced by Jonathan ‘J R’ Rottem who has created hits for Rihanna, JLS, Sean Kingston, Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears to name but a few. Iyaz is putting the finishing touches to his debut album; Replay due for release at the end of 2010. With two hot club anthems and a bright sunny video for Solo, this young teen sensation is going to be around for a while.

2. Kelly Rowland - Commander

The Destiny’s Child star returns to the dance floors after tearing the roof of London nightclubs with her David Guetta produced hit ‘When Love Takes Over’. Her collaboration with the Frenchmen has given the R&B star the electro bug, as her new single is another slice of dance energy.
‘Commander’ is Kelly’s second venture into the world of dance music, where once again she teams up with Guetta for his quality productions, and the in demand songwriter Rico Love who has penned hits for Diddy, Usher, Jamie Fox, Alexander Burke, Pussycat Dolls, Beyonce and more.
The new single is the first release from her upcoming third solo-album due for release in September this year. Unfortunately Rowland’s career has not been as successful as her ex band member Beyonce, but you can always rely on the star offer good quality music.
Commander still has Rowland’s signature R&B style vocal, as she sings about being the commander of the dance floor. By guiding the DJ to energize the party, the video is set in realms of outer space as Kelly faces a clone of her self in her quest to be the sole commander of the galaxy. Guetta also makes a cameo in the video paying himself as the DJ as he assists Miss Rowland.
If her album offers variety of R&B and electro then fans are in for a real treat!

3. Tinie Tempah – Frisky (feat. Labrinth)

After landing a no.1 single with what is without a doubt one of the biggest UK anthems and most requested in the London night clubs, Tinie Tempah returns with his 2nd single with all eyes watching and tongues asking the big question, can he do it all over again?
Frisky picks up from where Pass Out left off continuing to showcase Tine’s unique tone and flow as he expresses his feelings of friskiness towards the opposite sex. The 21-year old producer Labrinth is the young man behind Tempah’s 1st national hit Pass Out with Labrinths signature bass synths.
Labrinth is not only gifted with beats but also vocals as he sings the chorus on Frisky making his first cameo appearance in the video. With over 1 million hits on YouTube the video theme is underground, with a dark yet glossy performance from Tempah as he dons eccentric urban fashion truly reflecting the diverse culture of the UK.
Frisky definitely sound similar to Pass Out but this is Tempah’ intention to prove his no.1 was not a fluke production but a new sound merging dubstep, with grime, drum & bass and hip hop so expect to see Frisky land at the same chart position.

4. Katy Perry –California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg)

The wife to be of funny comedian Russell Brand is working hard at world domination, after recently sitting pretty in both the U.S and UK charts with two hit singles as part of her collaboration with 3OH!3, plus featuring on TImbaland's 2nd single 'If We Ever Meet Again' taken from his recent album Shock Value 2 which is huge hit in the night clubs in London.

Her new single 'California Gurls' is the 1st single from her 3rd album; Teenage Boys which is expected to be released this year. Katy provides a great pop vocal on this track, which is the type of groove you would expect Kesha to sing-along to. It has a great summer feel as the melodic synths and bass are almost a throw back to the 80's with the kind of chorus that you hear once and remember - wherever you're out enjoying the London nightlife you're guranteed to hear this track this summer.

For the first time Perry features rap legend Snoop Dogg to add some of his super cool west coast flow to the track where raps about the type of California girls that he likes. Mr Dogg also takes time out of his hop diary to feature in the video, which is based on a combination of fantasy scenes inspired by famous movies such as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Alice In World as Katy walks around her imaginative Californian Candy World with Snoop as the Candyman.

5. Lady Gaga – Alejandro

The pop sensation returns with a single that is a throwback to a few familiar songs such as Madonna’s - La Isla Bonita, Ace Of Base – ‘I Saw The Sign’ and ‘All That She Wants’.
Life would not be the same with out Miss Gaga sparking controversy which is exactly what she has managed to do with the Alejandro video, she mixes her strong feelings of religion, sex and homosexuality into a 8 minute visual journey where she dresses in a pvc nun gown, bra and knickers.
The song is very catchy and full of your usual Gaga eccentricity as she sings about the heartbreak of loving Alejandro over a mid tempo groove, it’s actually a very good song but the video is truly the main attraction with over 6 million hits in the first 4 days of its premiere on YouTube, since then the video currently has 33 million views.
The video is a favourite across the many nightclubs in London and bars especially in the Soho area where fans of pop music’s hottest lady love its dark bondage and gay erotica theme to which Gaga herself admits the video is a celebration of gay love and her envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together.
